Winemaking Tour & Tasting
A unique tasting experience during harvest at an English vineyardAbout this experience
Harvest is the most exciting times to visit Nutbourne and we're inviting you to join us in the winery. This is a rare opportunity to experience winemaking whilst the 2024 harvest is actually underway. These days are especially suitable for those interested in winemaking or for visitors who have already been on one of our summer vineyard tours.
Peter Gladwin, the owner of Nutbourne Vineyards, will present an in-depth wine making experience explaining each step of the process. We will taste everything, from the unadulterated fruit on the vines, pre-fermented juice, to tank samples of the ferments underway. This will be followed by a blending session then a "vertical tasting” of different vintages of one of our award winning wines, plus a few other surprises!
The tour will begin in the Wine lodge beside the historic windmill with tea, coffee and Bridget Gladwin’s homemade cakes, so you can take in the stunning views of the South Downs.
