Sustainable Farming
We pride ourselves on using a re-generative approach to farming. Our livestock and vegetable growing share the vineyard land and we minimise intervention, feed supplements and the use of chemical sprays.
Alongside the vines, Gregory Gladwin hand rears cattle and sheep. His beef is from Simmental cows crossed with Sussex or Angus bulls - the animals graze on the water meadows at Amberley in Summer, then return to the farm in the Winter months. The sheep graze among the vines and even assist with leaf-stripping during the growing season.

Gregory’s wife, Lani runs a poly-tunnel at Nutbourne, growing produce for the cellar door, picnics and events.
Our meat which is hung, fully butchered, labelled, vacuum sealed and frozen, is available from the Cellar Door shop. Vegetables, salads, berries and plants are available to purchase depending on seasonal availability.
